The Ultra XGA Game Box is the latest update to the popular Ultra XGA range, added features include HD Support (480P and 720P are supported - additional cables are required, please see below) and more output resolutions including 2 special Widescreen resolutions. The Ultra XGA Game Box is perfectly suited for use with games consoles (PS2, PS3, XBox, XBox 360, Wii etc. etc.) and also other AV equipment (DVD Player, Digital TV, Camcorder etc. etc.).

As standard the Ultra XGA Game Box includes a composite AV input cable (red/white and yellow), additional input cables are available (please see below for more information or to buy) including Component (YUV), S-Video, HD PS3 and HD Wii. To enable the HD support a suitable cable is required (either HD PS3, HD Wii or Component (must also be used with an appropriate component cable for the console - again see below for the range of Component cables we sell). If you are wanting to use soley with a specific console then the dedicated console cable would be ideal however if you wish to use with multiple consoles then the Component input cable would be more suitable as it can be used with any console that has any available component cable.

The Ultra XGA Game Box is ideal for anyone wanting to use any AV equipment on a PC Monitor, no PC is required but if you wish to share the monitor between your PC and the Ultra XGA Game Box this is done without any problem - no need to keep swapping cables the box handles it all. Perfect for any situation where space is limited and you do not have space for both a monitor and a TV - or if you simply prefer to have everything on one display.

Not only is the Ultra XGA Game Box the most versatile product of its type, it also features an inbuilt TV Tuner! - simply connect an aerial and you can watch TV on your PC Monitor - CRT, LCD or TFT! (the tuner is analogue - not freeview etc.). Included is a fully featured remote control for ease of use, the interactive on screen menu system is now greatly enhanced offering a wide range of options and settings. New noise reduction technology also give an improved image quality, alongside the ease of use and the maximum compatibility this new version really does live up to it's 'Ultra' name tag!

The various modes, settings, resolutions and refresh rates are all controller by the simple to use on screen menu - virtually everything can be tweaked to get the exact setup you require. Included in the box is an English instruction manual to guide you through any settings that you may wish to change.

Important:

As standard the Ultra XGA Game Box includes a standard composite AV input (red and white for audio - yellow for video) - whilst this is a hugely compatible connection and will be suitable for many applications please do check the list below to check if you will require any additional cables to meet your needs.

If you require the HD modes (480p, 720p etc.) you will need an additional cable - either the HD Game Box Wii input cable (connects directly from the Wii to the Ultra XGA Game Box), the HD Game Box PS2/PS3 Input Cable (connects directly from the PS1, PS2 or PS3 to the Ultra XGA Game Box) or the HD Game Box Component Input Cable (provides a standard Component input connection - red and white for audio and red, green and blue for video). The component HD input cable provides maximum compatibility as it can be used with all current HD enabled consoles (you will also require the applicable Component AV cable for the console in use - please see the list below for the Component cables we stock) and also other AV equipment (SKY HD, DVD Players etc.). If you just wish to use the HD modes with one console (Wii or PS2/PS3) then the console specific cable will be easier as it involves just one cable.

If you do not require 480p, 576p or 720p modes then you do not require any additional cables (unless you would prefer to use an alternative video connection to improve general video quality).
